Sunflower oil is mainly used in the food industry, in the manufacture of canned food, as well as in the soap and paint industry. Sunflower oil is a part of various ointments. It is often used for lubrication of rolling bearings, precision bushings. Sunflower oil can be used to refuel kerosene lamps.
Sunflower meal is used in agriculture as a feed additive in the diet of animals and poultry to increase the average daily gain. It also improves the quality of milk and eggs produced, strengthens the immune system and reduces the risk of death of young animals. It consists of protein (about 40% by weight) and fiber.
Sunflower husk is used: - as a raw material for the production of feed yeast and ethyl alcohol (32 liters of ethyl alcohol or 100-150 kg of feed yeast are obtained from 1 ton of husk); - when growing mushrooms (it serves as an excellent substrate for mushroom cultivation in domestic and industrial volumes: the compactness of the pallets during soaking allows you to get a larger volume of soil due to the disintegration of granules, and the husk contains fewer mold spores and bacteria); - as an additive to animal feed (it is considered one of the most valuable and cheapest additives due to its high protein and vitamin content, which increases animal productivity and reduces nutrient consumption, and also serves as a source of fiber and is widely used in feeding ruminants); - as an organic fertilizer for loosening the soil (sunflower husk helps to reduce soil acidity as a result of its alkalization, improve soil structure and suppress fungal infections, as well as there are no chlorine compounds in its composition, which is beneficial for the vegetation of many plants); - in the production of fuel pellets.
Rapeseed oil is used: - in baby food (vegetable/fruit purees, breast milk substitutes); - in preparing pastries and desserts; - in herbal drinks; - in sauces and salad dressings; - for cooking hot dishes; - during diets, replacing ordinary vegetable oils.
Rapeseed meal is mainly used as feed for farm animals, as a valuable high-protein product. It is included in the diet of animals, birds, and fish both by itself alone and in the form of fodder additives.
Sunflower husk pellets are a by–product formed during the production of vegetable oil. No additional binders are used. Sunflower husk pellets have huge advantages over traditional fuels. - High level of heat transfer - Environmental safety (both for human health and the environment) - Good durability. Due to the presence of lignin, the granules are very durable and do not crumble during transportation - Remaining ash can be used as effective fertilizer - Reasonable cost - Simplicity and convenience of storage.
